| I have a few words for you Mr.President... |
I'm not sure how many of you caught the "Presidential Address" (if you didn't here's the link http://my.barackobama.com/page/share/debt-deal-video) If you didn't, allow me to give you a very brief recap. President Barack Obama came out to address the US, looked the camera right in the lens and then gave a beautiful flowing speech, in which he tried to explain to Americans that both parties were to blame, and both parties can't reach a compromise. Then a few minutes after Pres. Obama's speech, Lord Fussypants himself, John Boehner came out to address the union. In his address there was no flowery language, no comforting, yet, authoritative words. John Boehner came out and essentially stated "we did the best we could, it's the President's fault if nothing works." There is my problem Mr. President, while you are trying to come across as a loving father figure who wants both factions of the country to work together, the Lord Fussypants(es) of the political spectrum are playing the blame game and allowing you to take the fall. The time for courtesy has passed. Politics is not about being equal. The Republican Party has attempted to vote down anything you do, even if they haven't read the bill. They have stated they want to make it harder for you by embracing the title of "the party of no". Why do you still insist on playing Mr. Nice Guy? You asked Sen. Liberman (D-CT) who had been one of your harshest critics to become a member of the Democratic Caucus!! Why? You tried to "reason" with the "blue dog" Democrats, and when it didn't work you kept just trying to reason! No! If they want to be dogs you train them like dogs, you use a reward system. They behave well, you endorse them, they misbehave you lock them out the house (Pun Intended.) Personally, I think I know why those who oppose everything you do are doing so...but that's a topic for a different day (Right, Rev.Al). Simply put Mr. President, this playing nice is not benefitting you, you do not have much time left in office, and I am afraid currently for what the future holds... (Find out why I call John Boehner, Lord Fussypants Beyond the Break[The "Read More" Button] )
A day in the life of John Boehner.
Remind you of any one?
