Welcome to MUSIC MONDAYS!!!! This one can be called MANIC MUSIC MONDAY!!!!

Where to begin? We could talk about the tragic death of one of Music's most powerful voices, brightest stars, and troubled stars. Ms. Amy Winehouse. One of my all time favorites. Whose problems went largely ignored by the media except to make a buck. Yet, now they all claim to have been rooting for her survival. Hence the photo.
Now, to discuss "new" music, music that might not have gotten much exposure, or music you would just never click on by yourself. Since I missed the first Music Monday, I will give a couple of extra videos :)

                                          Kreayshawn - "Gucci Gucci"
Now, even though I don't like any other song by her, thought her name was her clever way of spelling "creation" (kre-ay-shawn...get it?) it's not, it's really just her name (pronounced "Krayshawn"), and think that in interviews she not so much speaks the English language as chokes on it. You have to admit that this song is "poppin'". With it's fun chorus, and cool outfits, This is defiantly a summer song. Plus who can resist a song with lines like "I got the swag, and it's pumpin' out my ovaries!"

Drake - "Headlines"
Now, I am not the biggest Drake fan, I do like his music but I'm not rabid for it like some others. With that, I don't really see the hype of this new song. However, I can already predict that just like "Marvin's Room" this will get played like mad.
                                         Ellie Goulding - "This Love"
I absolutely adore this young woman's music! This song in particular is like magic. With lyrics that question the behaviors of some with a child like innocence. Yet, foretells the doom of the one she pursues. This song can speak to anyone those who have been in a relationship, and those whom have just had crushes. This song is amazing.
                                                      Dev - "In the Dark"
This song is made for parties. Don't look for lyrical depth, or a hidden meaning. Take it at face value and you will have a great time dancing too it. It's fun, crazy, and has a little bit of TMI about Dev. I'm not sure the world needs to know about Dev's "sex drive" which is "push to start".

                                 Cheryl Lloyd - "Swagger Jagger"
Now this song might cause some controversy from the English readers of the blog. Listen, yes I know England doesn't like her "chav" (kind of like "punk" meets "gangsta" with a dash of "scene kid") style, and wasn't too happy with her on "X-factor" (we have an American version now, but it's basically American Idol.). On the American side I know the chorus is nothing but "Clementine" with different words, and hearing her say "jagger" instead of "jacker" is kind of annoying. However the song is fun, I like it, and it's my blog so tough cookies...

This Leads to a conclusion of our Music Monday. I hope you enjoyed it! I hope it was everything you hoped and more. Any comments, questions, or recommendations for next week. Leave 'em below!
