HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Happy New Year, Everyone!! I hope yours was well!! I thoroughly enjoyed mine! Due to the fact that my father's side of the family doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving (due to the pilgrims betraying the Natives after breaking bread), and we're also Haitian, we have our huge feast on Haitian Independence Day/ New Year's Day. (Side Note: Haitian Independence Day is January 1st / Haitian FLAG Day is May 18th) My very good friend Winnie was with me (You can find her here Some Like It Haute...), and we spoke and made plans to conquer 2012! This new year is a year of new beginnings and all though my personal life is not all I would...desire it to be, I am working through it. I have many mottos for 2012 but one of the ones I want you to focus on is from that famous poster which has now seen a resurgence "Keep Calm and Carry On". I want all of you to embrace this saying. To quote the film Jawbreaker "Learn it, Live it, Love it". Now embracing this quote does not mean that you won't have a bit of a meltdown now and then, or won't be stressed.
Rather, embracing this quote means that after that meltdown, "bug out", or breakdown, you know it's time to build back up, re-adjust yourself and carry on. Life doesn't stop simply because we want it to, and it certainly won't stop because you're going through a problem whether it be epic or minor. Now I know this quote, won't be easy and certain situations will definitely be a test, especially in those situations which are not only major but seem to hit out of nowhere...I myself know of a few situations where keeping calm and carrying on would seem all but possible (I never understood how the phrase "all but impossible" would mean something was impossible, when in fact it says it's "all but.."), but trust me it is.  Now in 2012 I want to make major moves. If there is something I am not happy with I want it changed, and if I can't change it I want it gone. Now I would like to keep going but I don't want to make the post too long for fear that you will not read it LOL, and the message I'm trying to get across is something I want everyone to get. 'Til Next time! Love, Peace and Chicken Grease!  (Next Post: My Moves & "Gone is a Mindset")
